The American Legion, Department of Alabama is made up of over 15,000 Legionnaires in 136 Posts all across Alabama. The Department is Divided into three Divisions with a Division Commander elected annually at the Department Convention in June. Each Division is divided into districts with a total of fourteen Districts in The Department of Alabama, each with a District Commander and other such officers as determined by each District.
