The American Legion is  a firm believer that no veteran should ever face the VA alone. The importance of having a properly trained and accredited Veteran's Service Officer (VSO) is the key to a successful claim. The American Legion accredited VSOs have received extensive training on the procedures and policies of the Veteran's Administration. These are the subject matter experts that will ensure your claims are filed efficiently and correctly.

Our Department Service Officers listed are just part of a network of fully trained & accredited service officers located in almost every county in Alabama. They are employees of the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs; however, they are also American Legion Veteran Service Officers.  To find a service officer in your area, click on the link and select the county closest you.
